BAKE A DIFFERENCE

 Lake Erie Food Rescue is pleased to announce our newest program, Bake a Difference.  We know not all families can provide their child with a birthday cake. Bake a Difference is a group of volunteers who want to ensure that all children have a birthday cake to celebrate their special day! 

**Children must be referred from a local community service agency, shelter, or church in Erie PA. Our goal is to make all children between the ages of 1 -18 feel extra special on their birthdays by providing them a homemade cake or goodies of their choice for their birthday. Our goodies are homemade by volunteers. We deliver the delicious creations to our partnering agencies to deliver to the child. 

All our work is confidential, and our volunteers never meet the child. We simply want to make sure every child has a wonderful birthday! 

The children get to choose which tasty treat they would like to have on their special day. The children will choose from one cake, cupcakes, cake sickles, cookies or brownies. In addition, they also receive 10 birthday plates, cups, plasticware, and candles. 

We are always looking for volunteers who would like to bake a special treat for a child. Contact us if you are interested in baking. We will provide you with all the information you will need.
